A) 150km from work means over 1,000km a week extra travel on todays petrol and future prices its going to cost you what you save

B) most people have a wife and kids, and cant sleep on the floor in the kitchen!"

Well better get a wife who will then I guess.

Buy a car on gas, ride a bike, get a job in the small town, hop on the country train, walk, hitchhike, car pool...........or better still just keep renting.
