News for Today (AEDST)
The XJO closed lower on Monday.
Spread narrowed considerably, and volume reduced to below average - which isn't unusual for a Monday, but does suggest that the market did not respond particularly badly to the (sad) weekend news in Paris. The narrow spread also suggests that there were buyers still in the market, and the Index did not have to stretch lower to find any buyers for those who were inclined to sell.
As usual Tuesday is a much better guide of the real intention behind the market for the week, volumes are usually much higher, and the overseas markets have also had a day to expose their (early) intentions.
