re: executed settler had aussie ties Muslims and Jews have been killing each other for a thousand years for pretty much the same reason.....they hate each other. Of course you could find individual exceptions but generally it's generational hatred.
All the other reasons put forward just cloud the fundamental issue of religious hatred.
