Interesting question on when a bidder can get access to the books of a target.
First up, without them making a formal non renounceable bid it is my understanding they have no right of inspection.
Even if granted access, the only way the bidder can withdraw its offer is to prove that the target cooked the books, or made false representations on some material aspect.
Cannot see that CRE has not played by the rules and Stone's grandstanding will get them nowhere.
