It makes no difference if you buy the 'heads' or the 'rights'.
The share price and rights prices are tracking each other. save yourself the hassle (its clear that you shouldnt be playing games if you need to ask these questions)... if you like the RIO price, just by the regular shares - which have come back quite a lot since the rights were made available.

PS. there may be a few cents arbitrage to be made buying rights and converting them, but it is probably a little more than you can handle, for very little gain.
