Hi Gresley
I am not sure that anyone has doubted the quality of the assets built up by AMU over the years, we are not talking tier 1 assets but quality, longlife assets none the less.
I suppose the possibility of a higher bid remains, albeit a slim one.
I guess i was attempting to guage the voting intentions of shareholders on this bid. If one believes that the bid will go thru then it strikes me that there is a fairly safe arbitrage bet here if you can pick them up at around 30.5c then you are looking at a 10%-15% profit over a couple of months. Not earth shattering but better return than sticking your money in the bank, with minimal risk.
A higher bid would only enhance this, although i see this as unlikely.
Is it reasonable to assume that Eden is the dominant buyer atm ? If so we should see a sub holder statement soon and this will only increase the likelyhood of takeover being voted thru
Just thinking out loud
