write to the board of taxation, and send the same thing to the Commissioner of Tax....
many years ago I submitted 2 changes, at different times and was successful in having the laws changed...

(I have actually forgotten what they were, but I can check my files of submissions made to the Commissioner of Taxation)

I had contacted the usual suspects, the major tax firms, plus the heads of the major industy superfunds, and none were interested nor cared.

but I soon got results when I went direct as noted above

ps they do not state Mr XXXX can be attributed with requesting the law to be changed, or any acknowledgement whatsoever, but the facts the laws were changed was a real feather in my cap.
I was immensely proud at the time, imagine me, a sole practitioner versus the mighty brains of all the guru's and supposedly taxation specialists.

In earlier times, the tax office would invite submissions from the major legal and accounting groups, when they were proposing a new law or changing taxation laws.
In both cases of my submissions, they had all totally missed and ignored the problems I found.

I think our current office of treasury is now compromised.
