    The problem is not that science has huge gaps in understanding, but jumping to conclusions, assuming knowledge where no knowledge exists

    That’s right, jumping into conclusions then sets assumptions and believe that’s shared by the scientific community which sets an agenda for research.

    Some methods are not as independent or objective as they appear, but based on agreed assumptions and shaped by some measurement of expected outcome.


    Religion does the latter, science does not. Better to acknowledge a gap in understanding than to have a false assumption of truth.

    That’s why the Catholic Church is right up there in research, they have scientist at the very top of scientific research trying to get to the truth.
    But either way there is no evidence the way we are progressing will lead us to some form of ultimate truth, sure we are progressing but nobody knows where it’s leading us, by the way the world is going right now it doesn’t seem like it, but not sure what will develop after the storm.
