First I hold shares in bisalloy which currently has its speciality hull steel submitted to HII in the US for trials and welding and bisalloy feels it will equal or exceed US and UK submarine hull standards.

AUKUS makes complete sense but I get the sense the DH politicians are stuufing it up and making it more expensive and complicated than it should be.

Currently HII is in Australia to check out the ASC in SA to see the potential to build virginia class submarines.? Why.

Austal already produces virginia and columbia class submarine modules at their US facility.
Why is the ASC trying to be another supplier in Australia when Austal would be fully experienced to start virginia class production at the SA ASC facility with imo no doubt using bisalloy steel.?
Then we will be buying/contructing 3 with option to buy 2 more virginia class total 5 with the obvious potential to build more in Australia.

Why then also has the govt donated $5 billion to the UK to increase the UK's sub industrial base when we wont get an AUKUS sub till 2040 plus.
@#$% me just let Austal build the subs at the SA ASC facility and Austal US.
If we require more than 5 virginia then they can be constructed by ustal at SA ASC facility.
