AFU POW captured in Kursk region tells about plan of command to conduct deception manoeuvre

The POW crossed the border as a member of a hostile convoy.

'We moved out, there deputy logistics officer met us and brought us to the border. He was the head of the convoy. He said, follow me, we need to march, quickly break through, and leave, because there would be other routes. Our task was to make a march, a distraction so to speak, make it seem like there are a lot of us, we arrived, and moved from one settlement to next. We were asked to be polite and act as normal people would,' he said.

The convoy got under fire in a Russian village.

'We just drove in, we got under fire, the APC got hit, I fell out of the vehicle, I fell out of the vehicle, the vehicle caught fire. I ran away with my driver. I realised that we got into an ambush,' said the POW.
