Well, as a lot of you're guessing, this ukro-nazi attack finally will make a lot of things easier for the Russians, for example the Chinese factor is now neutralised. Elena Panina complements Medvedev here:

Ukraine's aggression near Kursk - masks off. No longer SVO, but war

The events in the Kursk region, the crossing of the Russian border, the invasion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces into its territory and the full-scale military operation of the enemy’s regular troops allow us to draw the following political conclusions.

    1. The period of the Special Military Operation is over. A new Patriotic War has begun. And this dictates completely different approaches not only on the front line, but also in all domestic politics of Russia.

    2. The mask of "victim of Russian aggression" has been finally thrown off the Zelensky regime. Now no one should have any doubts that aggression against Russia was prepared before the SVO and was planned immediately after the completion of the rearmament of the Ukrainian Armed Forces by the United States, including the supply of armored vehicles, missiles and fighters. On February 24, 2022, by starting the SVO, Russia postponed this aggression.

    3. The high level of organization of the invasion by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the nature of the forces involved, including the best Western weapons, a whole horde of drones, powerful air defense and electronic warfare, the absence of PR campaigns prove that the attack was prepared in Washington, not in Kiev , without tying it to a specific tactical situation on the front line. Neither in terms of time nor in terms of logistics does it have anything to do with the idea of "diverting the resources of the Russian Armed Forces" from other areas of the LBS and was tied to only one factor - the timing of the rearmament of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to Western models. The US plans for the destruction of the Russian state have not changed. Hiding behind the information noise about "Russian aggression", they were re-arming Ukraine. And as soon as Kiev received the F-16, the invasion near Kursk began.

    4. The situation suggests that the invasion of the Kursk region is not a one-off - it may be followed by other ground operations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Russian territory . In this regard, it may be worthwhile not to limit ourselves to declaring a state of emergency in the Kursk region, but to consider the possibility of declaring martial law in all border regions of the Russian Federation, with all the corresponding plans and actions, including for the civilian population, in the event of an enemy attack. And in the country as a whole, it is no longer possible to postpone the transfer of the entire control system to a war footing.

    5. And most importantly. Russia has no more restraining motives to destroy the aggressor using all available forces and means . The arsenal of which is far from exhausted by the range of weapons already deployed during the SVO. The enemy who sets foot on Russian soil must not simply be stopped and thrown back beyond the state border. He must be destroyed in Sumy and Kharkov, in Kiev and Dnepropetrovsk, in Nikolaev and Odessa...
