Two important questions should be asked about Mt Kare. The first being why did CRA pull out of the project after millions of dollars of expenditure (could have been as simple as the gold price). Second question is, are there agreements in place with the local land claiments, both of these indigenous groups do not get on. One thing that is of interest is that where the gold has so far been discovered is on a section of the mountain that in the ancient past broke away and slipped down the face of the main monolith. I would guess this would have to have been a major faultline in the structure, if the fault is late stage then the possibility is that the main source is above the present exploration area.
