Hi gang
Antaria is hiring again - looks like they have filled the recently advertised position for a Process Operator to help meet the increasing customer demand in the production warehouse. @kearneymaurice how did your interview go?
Now they are looking for a "Research Scientist". See the job ad here: http://www.seek.com.au/job/28581019
This is very exciting stuff to me because this board has been recently very adverse to having dead weight in the form of unnecessary employees. This reads to me as a very commercially focused role.
This is a big sign to me that they are confident of ongoing profitability and commercialising on new growth opportunities and expanding our product pipeline (3D printing makes a notable appearance yet again which we know they are working with Merck on now).
I've pulled some of the interesting bits of the ad out:
----------
Antaria is looking for a scientifically curious person with the ability to unlock the commercial benefit in their discoveries. You may be currently referred to as a Chemical Engineer, Commercialisation Scientist, a Researcher or a Product Development Specialist. At Antaria, you are not as narrowly defined. Your work will be diverse and interesting as you take the lead in researching, commercialising, producing and marketing advanced materials to a global market.
Ideally, your degree, Masters or PHD studies in chemistry will have led to a career in minerals focused nanotechnology. You will have successfully commercialised materials, and in doing so have practical experience with the full range of product development activities. You have developed and protected your IP, obtained regulatory approvals, developed and validated manufacturing processes and built relationships with clients and customers.
As a self-starting individual you are able to prioritise your work and focus on the high value issues. You also recognise the value of your team, and are willing and able to assist in other areas of the business as required. You can build relationships and networks both within the organisation and beyond to achieve the company's objectives.
You must have:
- Advanced tertiary qualifications (Degree, Masters or PHD) in an area relevant to the role.
- Highly developed communication skills in English, written and spoken.
- The ability to travel as needed.
Your core responsibilities will be to:
- research new materials and develop existing materials according to corporate directives.
- support manufacturing, sales and quality with technical advice.
- provide detailed technical reports and analysis as needed.
- manage Antaria's significant IP portfolio.
- represent the company to clients and in technical forums.
Experience in the following would be highly regarded
- GxP
- Pharmaceutical regulatory compliance
- Technical sales
- QA / QC procedures and processes
- Zinc oxides, technical ceramics or 3D printing.
----------
This company could easily have a MC of $40m and beyond in the blink of an eye. I can't say I haven't been warning you guys since it was worth $6m.
