Yes, I saw this in the ODT online this morning.
What I would like to know, where has all the Tungsten gone in the last 20 odd years. I did see a mention in the eary days of royalties, but never any record of quantity produced.
During WW1,WW2,Korea and the early Veitnam war, Scheelite was produced from these reef lines in preference to Gold (crush coarse & jig, or fine for Gold). Purer (lower Mo) than the King Island deposit -I know, because I sorted over a cwt that was hand picked (from Golden Point, ˜ 1970). and traced the reef line where the open cut is now, using UV light).
