Me too, but I think it has more to do with funds. I've read that NoBrainer-1 and NoBrainer-2 are budgeted at approx $15m each. KIK have to stump up 80% of NB-1 and 40% of NB-2 which means that KIK are up for roundabout $18m on this campaign. Not much cash left after that, until the oppies are exercised in Dec for $7m. Of course, as per the Convertible Note Agreement, a certain party could always farm-in for 50% of KIK's share and refill KIK's coffers with half the cost outlayed on SC-54 so far, which including seismic and surveys should be a fair bit...imo

By completing NB-1, KIK will now own 40% of prime oil bearing real estate. A great investment for the future no doubt.
