Why do a CR before selling off some of niobrara? Here's a thought......
SSN just did a capital raising a little while ago. Not bad for those that participated. But only a couple of months later they tap the market again. This time, deeper pockets first. Explain to deeper pockets via brokers that they are in negotiation regarding niobrara with 'probable' announcement on JV or sale. Deeper pockets see this as good opportunity to make easy cash. SSN see this as good opportunity to ensure oversubscribed raising (unlike the last one). Us little guys get some scaled back scraps. Cash for drilling Bakken, JV/Sale in Niobrara. Nicely played.
Not too concerned though. I have my fill anyway.
