There may be many reasons why a large resource may have been defined and not mined.. its commonplace

    a) Lack of capital (Ie they Seek JV partners to spread risk)
    b) Some companies specialise in exploration discoveries and are not interested in becoming producers.
    c) Lack of skill/know how to get to production. Many Co's will seek Aust partners for the development of Au
    d) Other Opportunities for the finder and au not their core business.

Who knows ...the List goes on..

So We have a high grade jorc inferred au resource open in all directions in a stable country and MOD has the will to expand and turn this into a producing mine ...why else would they have purchased it at such an advanced stage.

Based on the "nearology" of the afore montioned cu depositions in Botswana it is highly possible that MOD may be sitting on a world class Cu resource which is early in its genesis.

Time will tell...All is IMHO DYOR
