Chuck, i think the "picture" is wider than the casual observer would think. The rocketry fired into Israel by Hamas is the payback for the continuing executions, by missile up a tailpipe, of Hamas leaders. But........according to Condoleeza, all those rockets have "made in Iran" stamped on them. Then we have the continual threats against Syria for their behaviour (of which we hear nothing about). Then we have the USS Cole now stationed off the coast of Lebanon to give a threatening message to......who?
Remember, the last Israel-Lebanon war was supposedly planned well in advance and the kidnapping of the IDF soldiers was the waited-for "trigger". That backfired as the Hezbollah gave them a run for their money & showed the IDF havent the stomach for ground combat.
So you can bet whatever happens now will involve Lebanon, Syria,.......and Iran, as well as Gaza. Could be nasty.
