HFT, bots, manipulation you name it it doesn't bother me. I don't deny their existence and stock market is full of ugly stuff but you just have to manage it and deal with it.
I don't stop loss or hold short term so after a year or two it just like water drop in the ocean.

People look for all sort of reasons to blame for their stock investment gone wrong, but the simple truth is they have not got their research and risk management right.
It doesn't bother me one bit if one of my stock gone belly up and I lose money...I can handle it, my risk management can handle it...Return from other stock more than cover it
move on to next lot of business.
Every day is a happy in the market and dividend just filled the coffer twice a year.
