    Not sure how they could have done that. I am not an expert in any way of reading JORC reports, but from the annual report the resources have gone down from 2022 to 2023, for both marketable and recoverable.

    So how have they been able to extend the life of the mine? Coal seams are not magically going to appear, if they found a new seam, you would think they would have announced it. Remember, this is a very old mine, if there is new profitable coal seams there, you would think the former owners would have found them.

    Personally, i think they have taken 'advantage' of the low output they had in 2022 (sold only 1,798 kt in 2023 vs 2,303 kt in 2022) to create a 'good news' story. The terminology they used in the life of mine is, 'at the current operational run rate'. I wonder if they have used the sales of 2023 as their base, not the nameplate capacity - which is around 2,200 from prior annual reports.
