Lots of people seem pretty caught up on this mine life, and i agree with everything you have said. A future plan needs to be made, and it's perhaps already in the making? 8 years or more is still a decent amount of time left to do something, if it was 3 or 4 i would be more concerned. In the space of 8 years we may see coal at $80 and $380 in several commodity cycles.
I think that's more the concern, the price stability of our only income source.
