No offense taken. I didn't mean to imply that what you were saying was sinister, just that cross trades aren't always manipulative movements.
There has been no news since 13th August, so I think that yesterdays move was firstly a move by someone to take a position before news, then followed up by others hoping that this was the movement pointing to a positive ann.
Consider it a false start, but there will still be a race on soon.
I don't think it was people selling into news, it was people buying into the expectation of news. I also think it is as you stated: if news doesn't follow shortly and vindicate yesterday's movement, there will be a retrace until a rumour or maybe even (shock, horror) a real ann.
I think an ann is going to happen very, very soon, but in EXM speak, that may be later than I think or hope.
I am holding and investing on what I believe will happen, so I guess there is a little emotion in it for me. I envy your ability to trade without emotion, and I hope to be in that mindset soon.
