That's right Oz, there are no geophysical methods to test for these types of deposit at depth. To my knowledge all known deposits outcrop. That is not to say deposits don't exist at depth, just that they will be difficult to find. There are geophysical techniques such as radiometrics that can help identify pegmatites, and hyperspectral techniques that can help differentiate minerals within those pegmatites (I.e. Spodumene), but these rely on the deposits outcropping, or close to it.
