POSITIVE METALLURGICAL RESULTS FOR THE TAMPIA GOLD PROJECT Highlights • Gold mineralisation is free milling and non-refractory • Approximately 70% of all gold reports to high grade sulphide float concentrate • 92-94% recovery of gold from concentrate • Further work being undertaken on flotation tails to optimise recovery • Targeting overall 85% - 90% average gold recovery • Scoping Study for Tampia development to commence in early April with completion by August 2016 Explaurum Limited (EXU:ASX) (“Explaurum“ or the “Company”) is pleased to announce results from the initial metallurgical test work program on the Company’s Tampia Gold Project in Western Australia. Final results from the bulk flotation metallurgical test work program to determine the overall gold recoveries of flotation concentrates were received. The results are very encouraging and confirm that there is no refractory sulphide related gold mineralisation, with gold recoveries significantly improved by fine grinding. Comments from John Lawton, Managing Director: “The metallurgical program is a positive first step in determining the optimal processing route for the mineralisation at Tampia. The results achieved confirm the initial bottle roll testwork undertaken last September that the gold at Tampia is not refractory and is free milling. We are confident that we can improve results further with met work planned over the coming months and are targeting an average gold recovery of 85%-90% for use in the Scoping Study commencing in early April. There appears to be strong economic advantages to adding flotation to the treatment process to reduce the potential operating cost. The results are an important step forward in realising the potential of the project and provide confidence in testing targets that exist within 2km of the current resource along strike and down dip. Early indications from the gravity program suggest it is providing excellent definition of the mineralised structure which can be utilised in planning the April drilling program.”
