He got a ridiculously large "sign on" bonus so can probably do without a bonus for a while (not that QBE would see it that way!). I am still trying to decide how much to blame on Frank O Halloran (who undoubtedly left a complete shambles) and how much was the current CEO (who would probably claim he inherited the "perfect storm"). Everytime there seemed to be "green shoots" of a recovery (e.g two results ago when they announced the buyback etc.) they then promptly took two steps backwards.
