Agree Charlie. I am however more of a practical person and I look at the Pumped Hydro for companies like Holcom (TLT project) and HGO's "thought bubble" as a damn (pardon the pun) good way to get out of a rehabilitation expense on a huge hole ! Liked the bit from TLT about how people can swim and use it for recreation activities - go for it as I won't be getting in !!
If you fill it with water and pump it back and forth to generate electricity, you also don't need to fill the hole and rehabilitate the land. Smart thinking HGO. Will be hundreds of these things all over the country. In the past you dug the next project and dropped the waste dirt into the old hole, however when there are no other holes to dig, you go pumped hydro.
