The lastest changes to the family laws are intended to assist population control in Australia and justify short casual relationships (for both sexes). Labor introduced the orginal family laws back in the mid 1980s which have devasted so many and they like to add to them. The new changes to the family laws are so preposterous I am stunned there was not a public outcry.
I guess they are determined to be a one term government.
They try to claim like Gordon Brown that they are the ones to deal with the GFC, but people will see through their nonsense.
However, I have no regret for voting Labor in the last election in the House of Reps only. Howard's IR laws which were supported by his population transfer policies were too much for me. I am not sure if Peter Costello understood how out of touch they had become, or just went along for the ride. Howard showed utter contempt for the people that had kept him in office and it was just that he lost his seat as well as the election.
