Yes, I agree, there's no harm in asking. And I agree that it would be well received by investors if an announcement was forthcoming.
However, I wouldn't get too worked up about it if no new announcement was put out just yet.
I think management has done a great job to date and I support whichever way they choose to handle this issue.
Like many of us here, I am waiting for the big announcement about financial performance. I hope it is an update prior to the scheduled release of results.... that will be good for all "longs".
