I think the takeover curveball will come at some stage, but really, would only be guessing as to when. There's huge potential in the space they lease, MYR just doesn't have the offer to draw in the crowd, nor the appropriate business model to sustain it. A more nimble and efficient operator could do a heck of a lot better, especially as an initial foray into the Aus market where usually one can offset international expansion losses against profits from existing/domestic operations.
That said, no takeover suitor really has an incentive to jump in before a first offer eventuates, or administrators are called in - even if an offer comes in, wouldn't surprise me if the current Board are naive enough to reject it and prolong shareholder suffering.
