If you and others believe that profits will never rise or recover in a cycle swing,

Then you must also believe that disposable income wont rise in Australia.

Also that tax cuts for income earners wont happen.

Also that the Population growth rate wont ever make an impression on Myer sales.

Also that the 50% growth rate of online sales wont ever be enough to improve total sales.

Also that no other business verticals that Myer try to implement will ever improve total sales.

Also once implementation costs and write downs written off, there will never be an uptick in Annual net profits.

IMO too many negative Ducks would all need to line up for all those negative outcome to be true.

IMO the Probability is that something good will happen, several bad, sure. But all these cant be running south forever.

Has to be a swing up on some of these factors sometime, 3 Billion dollars of sales is a hefty beast to Kill.

Alot going wrong sure, But 3 Billion of sales and 32 % margin, at least 1.1 Billion of Gross Profit.

Its a Mammoth of a beast to kill, has to fight back at some point, cant see it giving up without a huff.
