Yes, Chippy you're spot on however most people simply dont look at the math or the balance sheet - all they hear is the narrative.
In psychological terms this is called "confirmation bias" or as Daniel Kahneman coined the acronym WYSIATI which is an abbreviation for “What you see is all there is”. It is one of the human biases that he explores when he describes how human decision-making is not entirely based on rational thought - side note his book Thinking Fast and Slow is a fantastic read.
If I asked everyone who is following MYR to forget the narrative and look purely at the numbers they would all buy in a flurry. But of course we do not want that to happen all the times as that means value contrarian buys like MYR would never exist.
