The full year 2017 gross profit was 1.2 Billion.
The expected Net profit after tax for 1H 2018 is about 40 million , net profit after tax.
The Market Cap is 370 Million.
So the half year net profit after tax is 1/10th of the Market Cap.
If myer writes down any more non cash impairments, it menas they reduce their txable income and therefore reduce their tax payable.
