Megaport has many physical interconnects between data centers across the globe. (These are made up of smaller metro networks, point to point, and submarine /international cable connections)
So what is in these datacentres and why do we care? Despite the terminology, the "Cloud" lives in these datacentres alongside private organisations who have contracts to store their infrastructure there.
Megaport has large capacity links between most of these points of interconnect with long term / commercial terms. Customers can buy a "slice" of connectivity between A and B without needing to negotiate their own long-term contract and change their connectivity as their needs change.
