Consider this!
If they did use the new dish and the new cells at Nofia and it resulted in a 20% loss compared to the larger dish, then that is actually a gain, because the new dish is half the size therefore much cheaper, it can be set up in a purpose built factory jig and all of the reflectors tuned accordingly, it can be transported in a shipping container, you may be able to fit more than one per container? maybe three but at least two you would think?
The cells on the receiver module for each dish would cost somewhere between $16 and $32 compared to $720 for the larger Module using older SpectroLab cells, the area needed for the installation of a 100 MW plant would be probably around than half that required for the larger dish installation, the dishes themselves would have far better wind loading factors and the tracking mechanism could also be much smaller and cheaper, there would be very little onsite costs in construction compared to the older dish which has to be assembled onsite and so9me of the locations are very remote and therefore costly to accommodate personnel!
