You obviously have your view. In my view, I would rather that the management of a company focus on running it efficiently, focus on making sound strategic decisions, focus on the customers who pay the bills. Talking up achievements to shareholders should be way down the list of priorities. It is only ever a short term fix, like a sugar hit. Far better to let the profit and loss statements (or even better the cashflow) reveal the successes of the strategy over time.
