in the long term - it matters not who will win this war or that war - history just keeps chugging
I seriously doubt if Israel will last very long - even if it built an empire. They have one characteristic which stands out like a sore thumb --------- arrogance. They have an amazing air of superiority around them.
That's a fatal flaw.
No doubt the Romans were arrogant.
The English - who have now gone from Brexit to Bregret
The Americans - who are on the way to oblivion as an Empire
All due to overexpansion, arrogance and too big and lose control.
IMO, when you base your exceptionalism on your religion, then - you really are on swampy ground.
IMO - the very near future - mere years, human society is going to change that much that the old ways of war and economics will pale into the shadow of what technology brings us
humans will still fight - but, what they think they are fighting for will evaporate before their eyes as they win their wars - they are fighting for a mirage - one that has ceased to exist
