Yes - a large group of people who may be unemployed beneficiaries, trespassing on private land in an attempt to annoy people carrying about their lawful business. It's a simple equation.
The drilling is occurring on a farm. The conservation land they are pointing to is not listed in Category 4 of the Conservation Act. It is merely section 19 conservation park land which is managed under the Conservation Act. They are trying to play to people's emotions that drilling may ruin the land, which is nonsense, and trying to say that the land is somehow legally protected therefore the actions of mining companies is unlawful.
Well, that is nonsense.
Here I will begin sharing my research and rebutting the nonsense that these people post and discuss. As a guide, let's start by posting up the Talisman/Rahu permit areas and the conservation classifications of the two conservation parks that share the same geological space.
I have other things to do with my day so I will develop this slowly, but suffice to say NTL is lawfully consented for all of its activities at Talisman and given the support of Newcrest it seems to me that there is every possibility that an operation at Rahu will be even easier to achieve.
