Yeah I was watching an episode of Coffee Talk today from a few weeks ago and some locals actually believe that mines will cover the entire 400,000 rai of the SPLAs. One person said "There's a district office, police station, hospital, and two high schools [all within the lease]. So where are the students going to study?"
Some people know the truth but I'd say most are ignorant about how it all works hence why it's been so easy to spread misinformation.
