I can confirm that going to conferences is an excellent way to get talking to Company men. It was at Noosa that I first learned about Vertex after Roger gave a very forceful presentation, and I noted the reaction of the people there to him personally. So things like that are very powerful.
I also met the guy who discovered Casobel and was MD of Sunstone at a conference, we were both waiting for coffee at the bar, and we chatted. I knew that another Company wanted him for the search for porphyries in Oz, but of course that was not mentioned.
And another Chairman of a goldie with a discovery west of Proserpine in N. Qld. That mine may be of interest to you @Wack, but I expect the weather is too adverse.
I am now a bit too long of tooth and my mobility is limited by peripheral neuropathy, quite important at Peppers, as folks who have been there will understand. But I am working on it with, would you believe, peppers?
