The exploration licenses were always going to be issued after the fracking regulations were passed by parliament.These were gazetted in October and remained open for for public comment for 30 days which has now closed.THe gov will now review the comments and make any changes and then pass it into law.This then will be the catalyst for awarding the exploration licenses.

Shale gas exploration is part of their national development plan and has also had applicable provisions inserted into the mining and petroleum amendment act ,which is also being passed into law.Make no mistake,for South Africa, shale gas represents a massive opportunity to boost the economy and solve their energy crisis.The mister for mineral resources is calling shale gas 'a game changer.'

I do not think that the majority of Australian investors are aware of the potential of this new shale gas provence and the fact that an Australian company has prime acreage.This should all change in the next few months as Shell and Chevron and whoever Cels farm in partner is swing into action.
