exploration - short term opportunities

What are the possibilities for the deep wells linc are planning into the subsalt in the Gulf? I think they are the first to go there in this region but can anyone tell me (dicko?) where sub salt deep wells have had success in the past?

Also - in Alaska they are going to drill one deep well this season after they drill into the known resource with a vertical and horizontal well using modern techniques optimised for permafrost conditions and do some flow testing.

The previous drilling in Umiat was shallower. I imagine this new deeper well could significantly increase the reserves if successful. Conversion of some 2p Umiat resource into 1P and dramatic increase in 2P would be very nice.
