Although gold is understandably the immediate focus for OBM, I am still mindful of the company's real potential if it finds lithium and/or nickel within its tenements.
The example is Mt Ida which OBM sold to Red Dirt Metals in 2021 and has become RDM's lithium flagship project, comprising 30 tenements in the historical Mt Ida gold mining district. After the acquisition RDM immediately commenced an aggressive exploration program, with a maiden lithium JORC Resource completed on 19 October 2022.
If OBM can repeat that success within its tenements, south of Mt Ida, the current share price will be a steal.
