The current situation seems to be that we have five years remaining of the income tax break with a large part of production in that time sold forward to those tricksy guys at Macbank. [They only stand to make something like $200m on providing the hedge]
The processed grades are on the low end of the scale and the easy oxidized ore has mostly been processed leaving much harder rock in the pit.
The very significant upside is that we have excellent and extensive ground and a well engineered process facility currently being doubled in throughput capacity in an emerging area in one of Africas most stable countries.
There is big [$15m ?] exploration budget in place on highly prospective ground that is well within ecconomic haul distance.
Exploration success may well yield softer ore with higher grade giving many more ounces through the plant.
This will reduce the proportion of output going into the hedge facility and increase the project life making the Company a hugely attractive proposition.
