Most glove companies in Malaysia produces a mixture of vinyl, latex and Nitrile gloves. VIP Gloves, though smaller in size compared to other bigger peers listed in SGX and KLSE, produces only the more premium Nitrile glove which sells at a higher price, and hence commands a much larger profit margin.
Hartalega in KLSE is probably the closest in terms of comparison as they are the largest producer of Nitrile gloves.
For a vis-a-vis comparison without accounting for economies of scale or overheads etc, VIP glove is still trailing way behind.
Hartalega
Annual glove production capacity: 35 billion
Market capitalization: RM69 billion or A$22.6b
VIP GlovesCurrent annual glove production capacity: 620m
Market capitalization: A$78.3m
To be on par with Hartalega's current share price on a production capacity comparison, VIP Gloves needs to be valued around $400m market cap or around $0.535.
Whats more, VIP produces 100% Nitrile glove instead of a mixture like other companies. So stay patient while the share price run its course. Company is also on expansion plan to boost annual production capacity to 1 billion gloves over the next 1.5 years. So, plenty of upsides.
