This is also my view on imports.

I can't see a scenario where federal and state governments / politicians allow imports to dominate this new sector. There will be, and already are, measures taking please to allows imports to supplement domestic supply.

Whist these measures will allow supplemental import supply, there is too much great publicity to had re licenses for new grow facilities, grants for capital expansion, new jobs, new revenue / taxes, new medical solutions. All of this done right here in Australia. This is a much better headline than, "Australian Government Legalises Mass Importation of Medicinal Cannabis."
