Sorry I'd only read your original post where you spoke of the Geology of Mexico City.
I actually agree with all (most) of what you've posted.
But it is a pandemic, purely as you've said, on geography.
It doesn't need to kill anyone anywhere more to progress into the next stage it just needs to spread... agreed.

I hope the natural history stuff adds to what you're saying for that's where the fear lies, and what is motivating the actions of WHO & Govt's not the current death toll. It's what it might do, how it might evolve, and yes that can be beaten up by the media.
That's where it becomes a trading stock.
