I think @MarkF is right those are simply spot prices.
As far as the forward contract prices, those are typically applied six months forward, so today's higher forward contract rates might reflect contracts signed in December.
I am not disagreeing about pricing. I am pointing out that we should not use these shipping reports as a real-time indicator about the current negotiations for forward rates.
