    I guess there are three different concepts here:

    1) Spot price

    2) Forward contracts, like when you buy a future contract, but that is a single delivery at a future point in time.

    3) Contract pricing, and this would assume a larger overall purchase - with many shipments - over maybe a six to 12 month period.

    Does the lithium market have anything analogous to a futures contract (item 2) above)?

    All of these prices under $14K/ton we are assuming are instances of contracts that involve larger quantity and extend for many months? What is the common convention in the lithium market for this?

    Just for kicks - if anyone happens to know - is it different for cobalt? I guess cobalt has an exchange quote for the spot price.
