Yangir 2 sounds like it was difficult going through the Coal seams, so no surprises if Yangir West takes longer, in fact that could be considered good news as it is more likely for a result if fractured coal seams are present.

Manlai is wildcat territory and an outlier, depends if the Permian coal seams are there, I would think if they drilled out the shallow hole and found nothing, they would have had to announce moving the rig to drill a new prospect, or they have gone and moved to the second Manlai hole regardless, or they have continued drilling deeper to floor to see what’s there, or they found Permian in the first hole, moved to the second hole and continued to drill there as per plan.

No news is good news, it may not mean finding gaseous coal seams, but things are ticking along as they should.

If drilling is going to slow down to a ridiculous rate they need to acquire another rig or two otherwise their program will get away from them.
