sorry for the long read, but here is the rest of it

25/8/2021 - The foreshadowed new appraisal well in the Nomgon sub-basin, Nomgon Central-1, is currently drilling ahead. This core-hole will measure key CBM characteristics including coal thickness, gas content, permeability, gas composition and gas saturation levels in the central part of the Nomgon CBM Discovery. These parameters will feed into the design of the Company’s upcoming planned production testing program

17/9/2021 - The Nomgon Central-1 core-hole has reached a total depth of 559 metres and logged 65 metres of coal. This well is gathering data to underpin the design of future production testing and various laboratory tests will follow in the months to come. Although the gas desorption process is ongoing,
measured gas contents in this well appear lower than previous wells in Nomgon, which Elixir interprets to be an isolated and anomalous combination of faulting and fracturing at the well location.

27/10/2021 - Elixir has spent the past few weeks carrying out extensive testing work at the Nomgon 6 well. The key results of this can be summarized as follows:
    • Fluids flowed to surface from four separately tested zones • Measured the presence of methane from all zones with a hand held gas-meter
    • Cumulative water production rate for the 4 zones was 280 barrels of water per day (BWPD) The Nomgon 6 well was drilled to a total depth of 501 metres and intersected 84 metres of coal, of which 63 metres was in the primary objective “100 series” coal. Cores were taken and gas content
and gas composition in the 100 series was consistent with prior wells in the area. Four air-assisted drill stem tests (DSTs) were performed over the 100 series coal. Each DST consisted of an air assisted flow test (AAFT), a conventional in-flow test (CIT) and injectivity fall off test (IFOT). A cumulative stabilized water rate of 280 BWPD was recorded. The presence of gas at surface was evidenced from a wellsite gas-meter, which recorded methane at concentrations of up to 25,000 ppm over a background of zero (uncalibrated1 ).Extensive water samples were obtained from the 100 series formation. Initial laboratory test results thereon indicate a brackish salinity level, similar to many producing fields around the world.

9/12/2021 - The Company’s plans for a long term pilot production testing project in 2022 have now been formally lodged with the Mongolian petroleum regulator as part of the mandatory annual budgetary approval process.
This is the first project of its kind in the country. The key elements of this project are as follows:
    • Capital expenditure to be made on two production wells, two pressure monitoring wells, pumps, water handling infrastructure and associated facilities.
    • The production wells will be completed “barefoot” and equipped with progressive cavity pumps (PCPs).
    • The pumps will be capable of lifting ~500 barrels of water per day (BWPD) per well in the first instance and the evaporation pond design takes account of these rates – together with the very high water evaporation characteristics of the Gobi region
    • The pilot well drilling should begin in 1H 2022 with the pilot production testing commencing in 2H 2022. Ever-changing COVID impacts could impose logistics challenges – the Company’s plans seek to mitigate these risks.
A successful production test will underpin the Company’s foreshadowed modular gas fired generation project. In parallel with the sub-surface work, Elixir has been progressing the feasibility work for the power station, including site selection and briefing the local as well as central authorities.
Recent gas composition tests from samples taken from the Nomgon-6 well (using a dedicated gas chromatograph imported earlier this year by Elixir to Mongolia) have recalibrated the methane content in the raw gas upwards (to ~90%), which improves the electricity generation economics.

5/5/2022 - The extended pilot production testing planned for mid-year continues to progress, with the tendering process for the civil works being well advanced and a contractor expected to be hired shortly.

22/6/2022 - The Company’s extended pilot production program is advancing in parallel to the exploration and appraisal drilling. Experienced Mongolian contractor Monbag LLC has been hired to construct the civil works and this will commence shortly. The spudding of the first of the two production wells by drilling sub-contractor Major Drilling is expected by around the end of August 2022.

29/7/2022- The Nomgon pilot production program is scheduled to begin in the latter half of next month. Elixir has overcome many logistical and supply chain hurdles in the first half of 2022 and is pleased to report that all the required equipment for drilling, completion and testing is now in Mongolia.
The program begins with the drilling of two pilot production wells. For the first time, Elixir has engaged Major Drilling Group, a drilling contractor with global operations, to drill the Nomgon 8 and 9 wells. In Mongolia, Major has worked extensively for Rio Tinto in the Oyu Tolgoi mine (which is situated within the Nomgon IX PSC area).
The wells will be drilled to ~ 600 metres in 8 ½” hole, with well design and casing sizes similar to that of most Australian CBM production wells, rather than the smaller hole size exploration wells the Company has been drilling to date in Mongolia. Elixir anticipates completing and producing these wells within weeks of the drilling being completed. As is the norm with CBM wells, water will initially
be produced until the reservoir pressure is lowered and gas is able to be desorbed. Over the months thereafter, measuring gas flow rates will provide the key foundation for assessing commerciality.

we are at the pointy end of the Nomgon project.....buckle your seat belts (and some mouths).
